A little list of questions...
 

I have a bunch of questions!!

I 2 have Dwarf Cavendish I recently obtained. I have repotted them and keep them in my screened in porch. They are both about 2 feet tall and seem to be doing well.. knock on wood.

When I was looking them over the other day I noticed tiny white bugs which I looked up and from what I got off the internet it says they are whitefly. From what I read, whitefly will eventually destroy the tree? Also saw little brown centipedes in the soil. Are the centipedes harmful?

I was looking for something to spray the plants with and came up with mixed information. Some said Neem oil and some said soap water. Any help would be great!

I noticed in some of your banana pictures (the potted ones) that they are kept in pretty small containers/pots. When I received the trees I immediately went out and bought decent size containers and transferred them thinking they would need that for room to grow. Was I wrong?

About once a month I am using a small amount of Dr Earth Organic Natural Bud & Bloom Booster and some Garden-tone herb and vegetable food. For soil I am using some potting soil mixed with Blue Ribbon organic compost and I water about once a week. I have killed 2 other bananas from over watering.. maybe? The trunk broke off and it was all mushy at the base so I am assuming over watering.

Any help with the questions I asked would be great and any questions I should have asked but didn't that I should know about please let me know.

If you are talking Giant Mexican Whitefly, they are more interested in a host plant such as hibiscus. Usually you can just kill them by wiping them off the leaves. They mostly colonize on leaves that are fading out. If you see swirls of tiny white dots, those are eggs and should also be wiped off. That will help prevent re-infestation.

Could be the very popular spider mites! As you said neem oil and wu liquid is what I use and I love the smell so an added bones!

If you killed 2 banana's from over watering in Florida you need more peet and Perlite in your mix of soil, and make sure the other soil doesn't have any water holders for like Roses and such..

I will definitely check the soil. I did wipe the leaves this morning and tonight when I looked there was nothing.. fingers crossed. Never heard of Wu liquid but I will look it up.
