Late Bloomers

I have three plants that have fruited within the last month. I also have two that have put out flags this week. Is there anything I can do to continue growth or keep these fruit over the winter? I am thinking of making a temporary shelter over some of these plants. Has anyone tried this? If so how did it work? Some of these are unknown and I would really like to try these fruit.

Hi Mike ,
I've read articles where folks have brought fruiting plants into the garage for the winter . Supposedly ,the fruiting process will pause along with the plants dormancy and resume when planted out in the spring .
Here's one such article : http://www.findarticles.com/p/articl...41/ai_19660633

Thanks Lagniappe that was some good information. I did not know you could dig them up after flowering. I am amazed all the time by how much I don’t know about my new obsession. My winters are not USUALLY long or real bad. I am curious to know will they survive if I cover them in he ground. Reading the article I see they go dormant without being killed inside so may be they will live outside to if I can avoid the frost. Have you or anyone here ever tried this.
