Anyone have any luck with these seeds/plants so far. I have an Ensete Thia Superbum from Gabe that is now doing well , is this a different Ensete to Kluay Pa ? If anyone has a spare seedling of Kluay Pa Ensete please keep me in mind. Gabe the Ensete glaucum bit the big one , these are very hard to grow , I had a good one in France . Perhaps I'll try Ensete glaucum again soon.
Thanks Later Steve

No luck here either. I believe Kyle has got a couple to sprout, but don't know if they are still living or not. He said they took over a year to germinate. It is similar to the Thai Ensete superbum, but a different species.
What problems are you having with E. glaucum? I have found them to be rather easy to grow here in Knoxville. |

Too be honest I've not really had a problem with Ensete Glaucum , but I've only grown it one season in France , so my experience is limited. The UKOasis members who have tryied it seem to have problems with finding the right conditions to grow it.I guess you have the right conditions in Knoxville :-)
I'll try and get another one , so if anyone has a spare ? Like I say " You can never have too many Ensete" . Later Steve

Ensete in the wiki:
http://www.bananas.org/wiki/Ensete (this page could use some fine tuning though, if anybody reads this and has anything you would like to add to the page and don't know how yet, send me a private message and I'll walk you through how to edit and work in the wiki) |
