Default Just wondering...Mahoi v.s. Dwarf Cavendish

I was looking for information about the cold hardiness of bananas and ran across the following post: The cold hardy list. According to the list, the Double Mahoi is slightly more cold tolerant than Dwarf Cavendish. My research indicates that DM is a sport of DC. If they both have basically the same genetics, barring the mutation that causes the double inflorescence, why are they not equally cold tolerant?
