An interesting story about storing plants for winter...

Hi! Last year I had brought all my plants down in my cellar over the winter. They were suppose to be dormant! My cellar is not heated however I do have a duct pipe that does push out a little bit of heat though! I didn’t use any grow lights either! I didn’t even water or feed them! Guess what happened! They all grew a ton! I couldn’t believe how tall they got! The funniest thing of all was my calla lily plants I have grew beautiful yellow flowers as well! They didn’t even grow 1 flower all summer long! They haven’t grown any flowers since I brought them outdoors this summer either! Amazing! :2739::banana-computer:

How much light? (And from where?) If no light, growth would be rather pale :-) I would guess.

I’m sorry I forgot to mention that the plants were near (but not close) to a window. Now granted this is just a small glass block window way up high on the wall. All the plants were several feet away from the window on the floor and up on a table. So evidently they did get some natural light then! However, I wonder if a glass block window directs sunshine differently than a regular window does?! Thanks for your reply!
