If Anyone in So Cal Wants Dwarf Brazilians...

The guy I got my DBs from here in Ventura put another ad up on Craigslist... big pups for $10 each. He's a really cool guy and Magilla has bought from him also.

See,

Banana Plants for sale

The 3 on the left are the ones I bought from him

That's an awesome deal! I saw a few of these, about the same size, for $30 at Lowes today. What does DB bananas taste like? On the tag, it reads "good for cooking", so I'm assuming it's not that good if we don't cook 'em?

I've not had a chance to taste any yet, but the guy I bought them from said that he grows these exclusively as they do well in the area and he thinks they're the tastiest.

Found this on a random website:

Apple, Dwarf (Brazilian): A short, sturdy plant (5-10 ft.). The fruit is shorter and stubbier looking than the Tall Apple. Sweet taste with a slight zing and firm texture. An excellent staple banana. Very common at local markets.
