ID please - 2 Years in the Blue Java not actually a Blue 🙀
bought a blue java from Amazona Organics in Germany
Finally she flowered and voila zero blue Definitely no blue java Anyone know what it might be ??? Now best part, they say they don’t have even one mature one ever - they just breed them. How would they even know what they are selling ??? Obviously super upset Waited so long 😭 |
Re: ID please - 2 Years in the Blue Java not do Blue 🙀
Its most likely a namwah. Most blue Java sold online are namwah. The good new is its a great variety. If you post some pics of the flower and fruit you should be able to get a positive ID

It would be almost a shame to grow namwah in her climate

But I think Namwah is still worthy of growing. They grow really quickly and make nice tasting, sweet and dense fruit. It seems that most people who have had both prefer them to Blue Java, in fact. |

I added pictures on my profile
Such a ****ing shame Specially now knowing that they never had an adult one fruit - She will check with people that bought some and imported to Brazil But might not even be the same batch ... Not amused |
Re: ID please - 2 Years in the Blue Java not do Blue 🙀
Probably Orinoco if the fingers don’t turn blue. It’s not a Namwa.

New update
So I provided her with the picture of the baby banana that I got sent and the adult one (link above) She just claims it can’t be the wrong one and Am just to “ shut up my mouth” Her literal words. She then said they are easy to tell apart: Apple banana (only other one they had) bluish stem and tinted leaves And java (bluish stem) ——> My plant had not a single leaf ! Crazy crazy Never order anything there !!! Two years wasted I already had apple banana as they are available on the island |
