ID needed,is this a Blue Java
I bought this as a TC Blue Java, but I'm having doubts.
Is it a Namwah (or Ducasse as its called in Australia) Here is a Dropbox link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1j1e25eq4...bXGsh2qma?dl=0 |

Re: ID needed,is this a Blue Java
Is there a tutorial on how to post images. Used work good with Photobucket.

Re: ID needed,is this a Blue Java
use the photobucket links for IM or direct links
they will appear as a line of text but will be clickable and bring people to the pic |
Re: ID needed,is this a Blue Java
in photobucket, click : library
then click on the little square in the corner of each picture you want to post once they have been selected, down at the bottom of the screen you should see: links click on that and it will give you 4 options click on the IM one ... it should say copied in yellow paste that onto a post here and all links should show up in one post hope that helps |
Re: ID needed,is this a Blue Java
also when signed in you can edit youre posts on here
when you get youre list of links... edit youre first post.. delete the existing links and paste youre new links then you can edit the next posts and replace the photobucket links with : .... must be at least 3 dots then it will be a little easier to scroll down through the thread if the links still dont work.. those photos may need to be re-uploaded then get the IM links |

Where did you buy it?

Re: ID needed,is this a Blue Java
Not sure if it will help but I have some blue java pics on my Flickr you can compare. To me they look a lot like a tall Orinoco with lots of powder on the pstem and leaves. Especially on pups! They almost always lean in a direction. They look nothing like a namwa.

Re: ID needed,is this a Blue Java
FYI: Not sure if you all know, but photobucket no longer allows free photo hosting: https://petapixel.com/2017/07/01/pho...-embedded-web/ . You'll want to upload the photos to bananas.org, flickr, tinypics, or pretty much any other photo hosting site.

Re: ID needed,is this a Blue Java
Okay, so was it a pup or a plantlet? We dont have the mix up issues generally that are found in the USA, ducasse is far less common than dwarf ducasse which is easy to differentiate. Blue sky got their initial stock from qld dpi, my plants also came from there, without knowing who it is im not sure about your grower.

Re: ID needed,is this a Blue Java
Bluesky dont actually sell ducasse, just dwarf ducasse. Very easy to tell between them, Id suggest you have the real deal, wandering from WA has fruited her tc ones from them now and confirmed the ID.

If it's any help, here's the verified real deal blue java from crazybanana (the taller plant to the right of the photo): Blue java flowers: This bunch pictured below bloomed in December 2017, and it's surprising the delicate, asparagus-like fingers didn't get damaged from the cold and rain! Other varieties that bloomed in the winter rotted away, but these are still looking unscathed and will likely make it to maturity. the fingers aren't as blue at this stage: As the fingers fill in, they get a little bit "bluer", this is exactly the color you see in person. Note: this bunch pictured below bloomed August 2017, I have 2 bunches currently hangin :) : |
