Thumbs up Re: I have SPRING FEVER so Badly!!! Anyone else???

I've got the fever really bad today, and bought seeds & plants to satisfy the itch that comes every year around this time. I just hope I don't get out of control and order more seeds than I know what to do with. It can be downright insane some years.

Thanks for allowing all us Spring addicts a place to come and discuss the urges to order and sow over 100 different varieties all in one week!

You think I'm joking, don't you?

I need to decide what I really want to grow most this season and then just stick to that...

Yeah, right...and who am I kidding.

ohhh it's killing me day to day , I torture myself by looking at Los Angeles's weather and Ft lauderdale then have to look at my own. in tears by the end. Sherry I know I was in over my head with stuff. this year I have to organize everything better.
last year I had the bananas, the flowers, house plant plants lol (a lot) veggie garden, and all the annuals. oh god I could go on forever.

This year I'm sticking to bananas, maybe 2 vegetables. palms from seed iv'e grown, I have a ton of cannas this year. last all my fruit plants/trees. I am gonna try and stick to that. we'll see in may whats going on.

And that Kru, picking up the growing speed. I am so excited what it might do for me this year ! (fingers crossed)

Too many people on this site bragging and gloating about one of the three deadly topics of conversation? I'm referring to religion, politics and the weather....all of which can lead to controversy, and I think sometimes, to a weird backlash repercussion of sorts from the powers that be. More than a few times I've seemingly paid the price for daring to brag about my weather v.s. less fortunate friends in harsher climates. I don't "go there any more". It's also why we all subscribe to this site as well I think. Just the same, the roller-coaster of bad and off again, on again weather of this year is getting tedious, and I hope the weather forecasters are wrong on this next Arctic air outflow as well. Okay everyone, think nice, warm thoughts...no snow, no snow, no snow!

I have a Colocasia odora that is bareroot just sitting in an empty pot. The leaves have stayed green in spite of being in the basement without soil or water!

Thanks JaNan,

So far so good but there may still be more to come.

Westwind.ch - Animation

Now this stuff is way over my head but those that know say that even more bitter cold is coming next week.

The link is from a Citrus forum I frequent. Tonight I'm working a security detail on Santa Rosa Island near Pensacola and this location is open with low dunes and no protection from the North winds which are vicious with gusts well above thirty knots. It feels like it is freezing!!!!!!

Ok I've got it bad tonight...someone please restrain me!

I'm about to go on a seed sowing bender!

JaNan asked about a plant-a-holics anonymous meeting. I think it's time to form a group and JaNan and I will be the founders!

Admitting your life has become unmanageable because of plants and their influence is the first step to stopping the insanity and in gaining control once again!

I for one would spend the rent money on plants, if that's all I had!

Teasing of course...I meant to say the grocery & bill money!

Well, it looks like the fever may go well into the night.

I've got Spring Fever worse than I've had yet and spent $172 today to prove it!

I bought an Aero-Garden light kit, so I can cheer up from the Winter blahs! Spring can't come soon enough.

Gonna plant my new aero garden tonight. I'll let you know what I plant...

My Spring Fever will be catching up with me again. We are supposed to have sunshine and 70's starting on Sunday.

It will be warm enough today to at least get out of the house today though!

Bought a huge quantity of soil in preparation for the "big planting" to come.... Now I don't know where to store it since there are at least two weeks left before I can start the excavation 's works.....
Now I got everithing...... more plants than Condominium's garden capacity (yes I told my neighbours if I could take care of the garden... NAIVE THAT THEY ARE!!!! MUAHAAHAHAH) enough soil to reclaim a swamp and enough fertilizer for a commercial bananas' plantation.....

I just need SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here on the Island, we're being teased by the weather, being just a degree or two shy from where spring can get a start. Lots of buds expanding and bulbs valiantly inching toward the sun, but nothing brave enough to venture forth yet. In addition, all the plants wintered over in my workshop are putting out new growth in response to the longer days, and will soon overgrow their limited quarters. In anticipation, I've started to clear beds and spent the last couple days sanding, painting and sharpening all my garden tools. Decided on a nice bright yellow...so I won't lose so many in the underbrush and plantings this summer.

Hiya Re: I have SPRING FEVER so Badly!!! Anyone else???

I'm out buying solar garden light stakes and the ground is still frozen!

Keeping them in my window, not the garden anyway.

I think I am obsessively shopping because Spring fever has now taken over!

I've ordered plants and seeds from several sources. I'm not even planning to garden this year because I'll be too busy packing to move, but I can still garden indoors!

Who else has the fever ???
