This company is selling musella lasiocarpa, but it's unlike any musella I've ever seen or grown. I got their catalog in the mail today, and they are advertising this as m. lasiocarpa. I think it may have been too close to a nuclear reactor!

Austin,
I checked out the photo in the link you listed. I don't see where they are calling it Musella anywhere, but it does sound like that's what they're talking about; however, as you pointed out, that is definitely NOT a Musella. Looks like a DC to me. A catalog I recently got in the mail also advertises Musella but the picture is obviously a picture of some dwarf type such as Cavendish or Orinoco with a picture of a Musella flower photoshopped onto it. I'm not sure why they'd do this. Not that it really matters, but this is not a company that specializes in bananas! Buyer beware, as they say! ![]() |

Bananaman, we must have gotten the same catalog. I was looking through it today and noticed they had probably a Cavendish banana with a musella lasiocarpa bloom on it like you describe. LOL. So I went to this company's website and the picture is totally different from the catalog. Both are obviously wrong. LOL. They certainly aren't banana growers.

Here's a pic of the catalog so everyone can see what we're talking about. It's the same company as the link above: www.dutchbulbs.com Someone's pretty good with Photoshop! I just wish they'd make up their mind.

Nate,
They wouldn't superglue them as they had to replace the fruit with the Musella blooms! ![]() They're the same Picture! Or at least taken within a few minutes of each other... |

Yeah, Taylor. That's hilarious. They tried a little. Now all they need is a parrot.
