How To Post Photos On Bananas.org
Begin at the top of your page. To the right of your CP it says "photo gallery", click on that to get to your photo gallery page.
You click on the link that says "upload photos" on the right side of the photo gallery page. It will bring up a page where you can upload up to 4 individual photos. Make sure they aren't too big or it will not go to the "process" page. After you select the pics and click upload, there should be a screen with a box with the word process in red. If this does not happen, one or more of them is too big. On the process page you can place them in categories and folders as well as name them before clicking the process box to finish uploading. Once in your folder, open one of the pics. Under the pic will be three codes for you to copy. For posting in a thread on the messageboard, copy and paste the top one into your post. Same thing with the other two links for the HTML sites and the wiki. I hope this helps.

Re: How To Post Photos On Bananas.org
I know. BUT... Most newbies do not yet know everything this site has to offer and seem to check mostly the main banana discussion at first and always have the same problem, so I put simple instructions where they will be looking.
I have been here a few months and have read thousands of posts in hundreds of threads, and am just now starting to work my way through the wiki. After 8 years I guess you know every nook and cranny but newer ones do not. Please be patient with us when we do not know where the answer we want is found. Thanks to the owner / operator here, this is a huge and diverse website. Sometimes it is hard to find the answers you want. Thanks for putting a link to more detailed instructions into this thread to help them further.

Steve, I thank you. I believe Richard has forgotten what it is to be new on this site.

The link Richard posted actually has the best info on how to post/troubleshoot photos.. Since the sites inception many forum members have had issues with posting pics in some way or another including myself. It is a multistep process that takes a little practice .....but once you get the hang of it your good. I can help with any Mac device and image hosting site similar to what I prefer to use. |

Re: How To Post Photos On Bananas.org
That is why I thanked him. I have been on this site a few months and I didn't think to look for that in there...Now newbies can find it easier. They just don't know all the many areas this site has or what is in them. Almost every newbie asks about posting pics.
As for Macs, all I can help with there is getting rid of one. Go craigslist and put it on the free listing page. ..

Re: How To Post Photos On Bananas.org
You have good intentions but it won't be easier to find this thread than the other in a few weeks. The other link is loaded with info but is a lot of reading...
Still, that was nice of you. Thanks to Richard for posting the link. I was about to do the same. |

Re: How To Post Photos On Bananas.org
REALLY appreciate all of your help and tolerance.... every one of these sites has a little different process for posting pics.
And some of us....won't say who...apparently have a little different thought patterns than the folks who design websites, so what's intuitive for us is not the same thing as what's intuitive for them.....but hey....it takes all kinds, right? When I get a little more comfortable with it will post in the classifieds section, what non-banana plants I have for trade for a real NamWah. Used to be a licensed landscape contractor and hubby and I were avid collection gardeners for a couple of decades...with an emphasis on plants used by hummingbirds...so we probably have some stuff others need. Notice I said "need" rather than "want"..... Again, really appreciate it..... Miriam/Rex Davey Baton Rouge, LA |

Re: How To Post Photos On Bananas.org
Made some notes on pic posting---big thanks to everyone who posted. I think I know what I did wrong!
Don't have enough cred with the website to post a wanted ad for 'NamWah' yet, but if anyone has a spare corm to sell or trade or both, let me know.' I do have several nice ginger lillies, some tropical Acanths, a Malvaviscus or 3. And a 20+ yr old Harlequin Glory Bower Clerodenron that's unusual for down here. An arum that is big, striking, tough, and architectural, but reseeds a bit more than I'd like. Other stuff 2. Email me. About decided my little mystery banana isn't a NamWah, so I need one. If you can't find one here, there's always Going Bananas. They have a nice website too. Mine come from there.
