Re: How long till I should see new growth
You should be seeing new growth in a couple of weeks, Cowboy - just as soon as the plants have recovered from their adventure.
As long as your soils don't hold too much water, they'll be fine. However, if they stay soggy for a long time after you water, you're looking at the ideal conditions for root-rot and mushy corms. |
Re: How long till I should see new growth
I may need to re pot the small I have chickens and with small plants they sometimes help themselves so I put them in pots to keep them up out of their reach and safe.

Re: How long till I should see new growth
Really? I have never had that problem with my chickens or guineafowl and young plants.

Re: How long till I should see new growth
the Chickens will eat anything tender and green but they do more damage scratching in the compost they tend to dig the plants up. The guinea fowl have learned to scratch from the chickens so they tend to take dust baths in any freshly turned earth. so I have to keep things off limits to them for a while till the newness wears off.
