![]() From my garden log for my Namwah (commonly sold as "Ice Cream"), it took 396 days from when I first planted it for it to finally flower for the first time. From further logs of later blooming, on average it takes 14 months for a pseudostem to go from pushing up from the mat to bloom here on the upper gulf coast.
Naples, I presume you don't have to deal with freezes setting back your plant's growth rate, so I'm assuming it will be faster for you.

![]() The Namwah that I planted on July 28,2012 appears almost ready to bloom. The half leaf has formed already and now it appears the flag leaf is emerging. This banana plant was about two feet tall when planted. I am near Homestead, FL.

![]() I think the question was (from flowering to tree ripe bananas?) Not from a pup to flower.I could be wrong though.

![]() In Honolulu I have tried (and mostly failed) to take notes on how long from flower to harvest, as that would be helpful in knowing when to harvest some that I cannot watch to catch that first yellow one. Best trick is write the date on the trunk. Anyway, for dwarf Brazilian I think it is about 5-6 months.

![]() For your location & that type, guessing 6 - 8 months, depending on weather mischief & how your plant is behaving.
Grab your Sharpie [like Ray sez] & write the date the flower popped out high up on the trunk, so it doesn't come off if/when it loses a leaf or three.

![]() The only information not provided so far is if this plant is in full sun, partial, or much shade.. This will effect all guessing on your flower to fruit time. :^)

(I've had a Dwarf Orinoco hang for close to a year after the flower came out in the fall. It was like the dang clock stopped all winter!)
