How does Blue Java cotyledon looks like?

I ordered some seeds from ebay, the shop was from Vietnam and is not listed anymore so I can't be sure if what I ordered is what it was advertised. He sent me a piece of paper with their new website but it wasn't complete yet so I threw it away.

I planted those seeds and got 2 germinating right now, but I still don't know what they are.

There’s a 100% chance they are not ‘Blue Java’, edible banana cultivars cannot be grown from seed as they (generally) do not make seed, and when they do, germination is poor and they cannot grow true to type anyway. There is also a very good chance they are not even banana seeds.

Seed scams are very common online, normally they are just selling some random other plant seeds.

If you want an edible banana cultivar, you must obtain a living plant, and its worth the extra money to get a high quality plant from a reputable dealer, as there are so many scams and mislabels and generally low quality plants out there.

Agreed on the scams - I do not buy online anything now unless I know the party or have personal referral (not the fake reviews)

There are some pics of bananas with seeds that seem edible, ones that are small seeds and not a banana that has more seeds than edible parts.

Anyway can someone identify this plant? I doubt since it's early but is it possible to 100% exclude that it's a banana tree?

That is 100% not a banana. Looks like a weed to me.

agreed, probably a weed, for sure not a banana! (Though maybe weed is wrong term as I like the definition of its being a plant where one does not want it, so maybe this little thing has all sorts of things which make it useful or attractive in the right place - just not in a banana plantation :-)

Yeah, it has grown a bit more and has nothing resembling a banana tree.

Now I'm just wondering if I grow it or not. On one hand I'm curious, on the other I don't want to transplant it to another place, so maybe I'll just leave it there.
