![]() I have looked at many, many pictures of flag leaves since joining here nearly 3 years ago but never seen one on any of my girls. Did I miss it? The leaf this gal produced last week did seem a little odd and puny but wasn't memorable; plants tend to do odd things when they live with me so I figured that was just standard. However, minutes ago I walked past her and noticed something odd. (A confirmed "watched pot" believer, I try not to stare at or study plants that might take offense or stop doing what they should.)
This "leaf" is very hard and firm--from the base to the tip. Yes, we soon have no bananas? Or not? Having raised corn, it reminds me how smut starts. Musas don't have smut, do they?
