HMelendez pisang ceylon
recently I was talking to a feller and mentioned that I did not have a pisang Ceylon. within minutes I was pm'd by hector saying he had one he would be willing to part with. one of his magic plants. did I want it.
he had to cut it down to get it in the box. it grew 3 inches while in transport and did not have much room to do so. so here it is as it was in the box minus some wrapping. and complete with a diaper and baby powder. here it is in its new pot. immediately after I put it in the sun to warm up. now its in the dining room. very sunny and the warmest part of the house. thank you hector for one of your amazing plants and your time. I

What it seems I actually have: Brazilian, Cavendish, Namwah, Dwarf Red, Gros Michel, Pisang Ceylon, Veinte Cohol and SH 3640, and American Goldfinger. FHIA 1, Paggi and FHIA 17... Always room for one more. |

Re: HMelendez pisang ceylon
These seem to grow well. I planted 5 November last year and now I have a bunch of pups. ... I hope all of the pups will make it though this winter. And I hope to get a flower/nanas this coming year on the 1st 5 plants. ... I think these take about 20 months to fruit (???).
I just checked the mat, there are 15 pups. Last edited by edwmax : 12-03-2017 at 05:14 PM. Reason: up dated pup count |
