I'm trying to limit the amount of plants i have in each group. should i cut back the pups? or remove them all together?

nanaman,
when you planted your hcm, in the ground did you remove pups from it? or did you put it in the ground pups and all? how fast do the hcm pup? bought one sat that has mom and 4 pups in a 1 gal pot. i havent decided if im gonna try one outside in the ground this summer and leave the rest in the house or if they should all stay in the house. any info is appriciated. im in the process of trying to read all the info i can on the nanas that i have.(THATS A LOT OF READING!) THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH

Sorry it took so long, I'm out of town alot. I didn't remove any pups, but I never do any way. Everything in my yard seems to grow pretty fast, but the differences in our zones keeps us from comparing notes that would benefit either of us. hcm seem to grow, pup, and fruit at about the same pace as most other bananas in my yard. Hope that helps!

They split because at some point in their growth process they got a lot more water all at once - think a rainstorm - and the fruit grew faster than the skin. Happens down here all the time with the Oritos.
