Hi guys being new to banana growing iv just got some sikkimensis seeds of ebay.Not really sure of the best way to germinate them.Can anyone tell me please i would be verry gratfull many thanks..daz

Check out the banana germination forum on this site. There are also some threads in the main discussion forum that discuss this also. Just do a search for "germination," and you'll find a bunch of stuff to read.

I've been working with Musa sikkimensis seeds, but I don't have much luck with them. I can tell you that in order to imbibe them, you should soak them in warm water (changing daily) for about a week or more. After that, put them in a flat (or box), and use alternating temperature of about 90F for 7-10 hours, and 60F the rest of the time. Musa seeds respond best to alternating temperature. Good luck.
