![]() I've had a couple super dwarf banana plants choke while the flower is coming up. The way you can see it is when the leaves are not coming out all the way. The next leaf comes out before the other opens and it just keeps doing that.
If it's just a small plant, my experience with them is when I transplant them, sometimes they choke (not often) those will just bust out the side, I'll help just for fun, I like messing around with plants and doing surgeries ![]() I am sure theres other people with advice as well. This is just my idea/thoughts on choking. |

They were kept in a cool basement for a period of time which changes the growth cycle The leaves just can't get out of the way fast enough for the new leaf. For me choking involves dead tissue blocking the growth of a new leaf in the pstem. I do not see any symptoms like that on your plant and it is pushing a new leaf. Sometimes new leaves will just push a few inches then stop when conditions change. Looks somewhat normal and like a few of my plants Here are my choke symptoms and what it looks like in the stem Choke Another choke |

![]() actually i've been using GA3 in a couple of months ago but the newly leaves that emerge is also decreasing. there are article that i've read that when the leaves of the banana is decreasing it is already choking. so maybe the GA3 will response on the Bunch weight, i guest so. .
