Helen's hybrid is a fast growing banana!
The center pup was emerged in some time in May and today it is this size.
The left plant was born in the last fall and today this size! Helen's hybrid is a very fast growing banana, and I am really looking forward to its blooming and fruiting that very very few people actually experienced. |

Super-nice plant you have there! I wish I had mine planted in some better soil. It is still much faster than my Musa sikkimensis 'Red Tiger', but then again, so is every other banana plant I own. Let us know when it blooms. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks everyones for your comments.
Austin, as for the infos of this banana, very very few facts are known and very vey few people actually harvested its fruits, and it is said that the fruits taste sweet although there are lots of small seeds. In addition its pollination behavior has not been clear if it is self-pollinated or not. That is why I am looking forward to its bloom! |

I think that these f1 and f2 terms apply to Musa but I'm not sure, but an any rate I hope you get what I'm trying to say. |
