I have found a couple of banana tree plants at a nursery about 20 miles from my house. They are too big to haul in the cab of my truck. How can I get them home without damaging them?

Lay them down in the bed of the truck. Take something to prop up the top of the plant.

Wrap the tightly in a tarp, drop cloth, or whatever. Then add a pole (PVc pipe, elec conduit,or whatever) to make the bundle stiffer. Done it many times. Even take 20' plants (leaf tip) in my Honda Civic 100 miles and more.
