Joy "Hardy" Musa Basjoos

Hi all... I'm thinking I want to try some Banana's in the ground that have a chance of overwintering here in Cleveland, OH. The strains I have clearly do not take well to even the deepest of mulchings... so I understand that if I had the Musa Basjoo I might have a chance at a perennial banana here... along the shores of Lake Erie. So... Where do I get my first Musa Basjoo banana plant?

You should maybe check Home Depot or Lows. you ccan save some of the p-stem in the fall with mulch and straw. if not they come back from the ground.

Basjoo is supposed to survive down to -20 degrees with a good mulching.

I've actually seen them at local nurseries here the past 3 years now. I guess they are catching on a bit. Im sure there are lots of sources online also.
