Thanks but while it did grow in my yard it's hard to take credit. I guess all the stars aligned with this one. Maybe next year we get fruit!

That is what my mahoi, namwah and dwarf Cavendish look like. I planted mine at the end of June and they were tiny.

It's been a great first year. Looking forward to seeing what winter does. If it gets crazy I might throw some trash bags over them and will definitely mulch heavily but otherwise will let the chips fall where they may.

Yea they definitely do not like frost! You could just wrap the pstem with some frost cloth so she starts growing from here next season..

Except that time a few years ago when a foor of ice and snow stayed on the ground for 2 or 3 weeks. I actually had a few planted and that wiped those out......except 1 little Bordelon popped up a few months later.

Great idea, I just mentioned the same on another post. Those things are amazing, and really help preserve banana height, and thus time to fruit. I wonder how far north these work...
