Don't overestimate basjoo, many of them die in much warmer climate than your own, it's not a super banana, it's just more cold hardy than others.

Of course, I understand - just letting you know that people in my neck of the woods and colder have had their first year basjoos survive and send up pups the following Spring.

I really did think that wheel of fortune joke was hilarious but I do not have a trucker mouth. In person, I don't swear much at all.

and as my grandmother always used to say...

No, but I don't swear much, just thought most people would think it was comical. However, I could be wrong, as some people could find it downright offensive!

There is a lot of common sense in what you're saying, Bob, so I tend to believe it. Besides - why not be safe than sorry.

What will happen in the Fall then, when I bring the basjoo inside for winter? Will it keep growing and then I put it back outdoors next Spring again? Will I get some bananas on it, by next season?

Basjoos fruit in colder climates at the height of 4,5m, after about 2 or 3 years of growing, if overwintered properly. You might get a bloom late next year or early in 2011.
