I use 2. 65 watt cfl's.
6500k. On my indoors. No problems yet |
Re: Grow Light? yes or no?
are those those spiral bulbs? what is the 6500k?
|
Re: Grow Light? yes or no?
Yes they the spiral bulbs.
6500k. Is the spectrum. Foliage grow needs blue light. 2700k is red spectrum.. Flowering and fruiting |
Re: Grow Light? yes or no?
I use a sun blaze 48 t5 light with 6 of the blue 6500k lamps and 2 red 3000k lamps.
Indoor growing or even just keeping the plants alive are the winner is more than just lights. Make sure you factor in the tempature and the amount you water. I only get about a leaf every 30-45 days on average per plant while inside. But they survive. I would likely get more growth if my basement was warmer. I found that fabric smart pots work well for me and I also use antibacterial workout mats under my grow area to keep them away from the cold floor. |

Could be costly! I use inexpensive lights to just "maintain" the health of some of my plants but not the expensive(the stuff you really need). I cannot afford to grow these plants when you can buy banana fruit for 30 bucks a year. A good source of info can be found on Youtube....keyword Growlights for bananas/marijuana. There are a lot of great inexpensive dyi systems(which I have done) that also can be found on Youtube. Also if you search on the forums keyword growlights you will get a good idea what is working for us. You could put them under a few of these...:) ![]() DSC03503 by Hostafarian, on Flickr .Size comparison. ![]() CFL by Hostafarian, on Flickr |
