Default Greenhouse video January

This is a video I made on Jan 7th of my greenhouse. It's short clip showing the bananas and a few other plants. Since it's on youtube I will put the link below if you care to see it.

A bit cold but they will survive. Heating bill is going to be high this season! I'd love to know how much it'll cost you for the winter... What's the inside temperature like daytime?

I'm paying for the heating which is pretty high. In previous years I have played around with a propane and a fish tank heater in water.Might check the fishtanks heater out again. When it's sunny close to 80F but because the days are short it's doesn't last for more then 2 hours at the peak. Overcast days are in the upper 50's low60's F nothing "tropical". Do bananas grow during the winter in zone 9?

No, they go pretty much dormant. Late January, early Feb, they'll start putting out new leaves again.

If you want to produce fruit, you'll have to kick it to 25C with good humidity... Your electrical bill is going to be very high though, assuming your using electricity... It ain't cheap in Ontario!
