![]() yeah i read this before.. i like how much detail this has.. the part i especially like is how he breaks down and explains the "ladyfinger" banana. he says that there have been 4 cultivars from aa ab and aab clones that have been called ladyfinger. i kinda figured this out when i first started with bananas..i have always used the term "lady finger type". i think one of the most common varieties called ladyfinger is Mysore.
to really become informed you have to probably dig thru 10-15 junk writings to find 1 good article like this. it has info you can use. |

![]() 'Manini' is another name for 'Ae'ae', it is commonly used on Maui and Kaua'i, I see the name 'Koa'e' used more on the Big Island, but more or less 'Ae'ae' is not used as much in Hawai'i as it is in the mainland US (partly because of some Hawaiians choosing to use a name that is still only used in Hawai'i).
