...if so how?

I had the tragic misfortune of walking out to check on my fruiting Gros Michel (thank you sddarkman619 for the original sale) this evening. Only to find that the bunch had snapped off and was on the ground. When it hit the ground, it snapped in half. So now I have two half bunches of immature fruit.

The fingers themselves are about 1/2 the size of a finger you would buy at retail.

So my question is, is it possible to ripen these and if so is there some techniques that might help them mature and ripen even though their connection to the plant is severed?

This is my very first fruiting banana. I was very excited to get home grown fruit of my own for the first time. Even more excited to try a Gros Michel for the first time. Needless to say, I am pretty bummed.

Not much you can or need to do except just keep them inside for awhile and eventually they will ripen. If you really want to try and speed them up, you can place them along with some apples or other ripe bananas under a towel or in a paper bag and it can help to ripen them sooner. They will probably ripen up eventually into something edible, but they may not be very high quality.
