Frost or not to Frost

I'm interested in your opinions about leaving your bananas out until a frost, or digging them up before it hits? This question applies to us unfortunate folk living outside the tropical zones. Hey Gabe how's the weather in Hawaii? Ha Ha! Any ways, I've always watched the weather and dug em up just before the frost, but it seems a lot of you leave em out until it frosts. What are the effects on the plant. And does it effect the height? Just trying to master this wintering thing. Thanx--Nate :dreadlocksnaner:

I'm with Gabe, no record of frost here for 20 years. No sure the timing will make any diff. Removing sooner will probably have the afect of shortening the growing season for that plant, which means it will be longer to bloom in the long run.
