Default free plants

Got an offer for free plants ,just have to dig em up and haul off . sounds like owners want them gone .Plants are producing edible fruit , supposed to taste like cross between pineapple and banana . I want them , can I possibly transplant this time of year in southwest Louisiana and expect good results ?

It wouldn't hurt to take them stick several in the ground and a couple in pots that way your good all the way around, but they should have time to recover before you see any cold down there.. :^)
