yes my white jade did fruit for me and produced 14 baby plants
some around the base, some below the fruit and also the one i cut off the top of the fruit prolific and good tasting it is like razor barbwire though and can be used in the garden as a deterrent for animals when i brought the plant home from a nursery south of here i found a tree frog nestled in the crown .... nice safe place from predators |

Everything looks amazing,lush and green.
That's one nice garden area too, still one of the best plumeria I've seen. Thanks for the tour. Must have missed your vegetable garden. My tomatoes this year are the maui varieties. |

as for your 14 suckers. you can get them to root by just setting the bottom of the suckers in water, but it will be alot faster if you plant them in large pots with potting soil. i beleive i might get me a couple of white jades. thanks

hi sirdoofus
thank you for the compliment and here is an update of the surviving seedlings trying to decide if i will pot them up a size again the weather has cooled off they are just starting to show some black on the pstem ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() cincinnana, i didnt answer the question about the veggie garden we did have some beefsteak type and cherry tomatoes and volunteer tomatoes from last year also some pepper plants, kale, lettuce, potato and some herbs but the raised beds were not filled to capacity and the veggie garden was not as big this year.. didnt get to starting some of the seeds i wanted to like okra, collard greens, amaranth, carrots, lentils turnip etc. here are some pics of the plumeria for you here are the branches i rooted a couple years ago... starting to get taller ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() also a pic of the basjoo in the backyard ![]() and in the front yard ![]() i did not dig any out this year so the mat should be even thicker next year ![]() this will hopefully be a new mat... just planted a couple hours drive north of toronto not the best location.. might be too low to the water table and freeze over winter(hopefully not) ![]() here are my balbisianna types in the backyard ![]() here are a couple non banana pics... my butia trunk ![]() and my pachipodium which has come back from the dead it rotted off at the base and i propped it up in the sand and left it alone it is finally looking good again ![]() and other exciting news.... my dwarf namwa is flowering this is the pup of the one that fruited successfully for me a couple years ago it is my 2nd flower this year.. the other one i think is my dwarf orinoco although i cant read the label so that is a guess... that one is a small plant and the bunch is failing to thrive.. the dwarf namwa that flwered was similarly small... but the pup flowering now is way bigger than the mother that flowered so hopefully i get a nice sized bunch ![]() ![]() ![]() here is the other one that i guessed was dwarf orinoco making male flowers ![]() |
