Do not use this forum to attack other sellers. If you've purchased something you're not happy with, leave feedback at the channel of purchase.

Any further posts here are to be about bananas, not attacking others. This goes for more than one person here. Suspensions or bans come next.

Check your egos at the door and try to post things that are useful for others in growing bananas.

Going into a situation like this with your eyes open always helps.

I found out yesterday that tytaylor77 other friends variegated plant died after 2 or 3 weeks.

Here are photos of what it look like when it arrived in April.

Last week Tytalyor77 friend received this Veinte Cohol.

Both of jeffaroo's plants were large bricks.

In the photo below is a jumbo brick that was shipped to a member yesterday.

Shipping one plant costs $12.40

Shipping two small pots or one jumbo brick is $17.05.

Any empty space is then filled with 2 inch thick solid styrofoam boards to prevent movement.

These bricks maximize the space in the box and protect all of the small feeder roots so they make it safely to their destination.

It is much better than shipping bare root with wet paper where some large roots may survive but many large roots get damaged and die and all of their small feeder roots die.

This week Tytalyor77 friend will receive the variegated plant below to replace the one that died.

This plant was much less expensive than the plant that died, so buying a quality plant certainly does not have to cost more.

Thanks PR. I'm assuming that's just sunburn from lack of chlorophyll in those areas? Mine does that as well but otherwise seems healthy putting up a new leaf every 4 to 5 days. If this one does well through winter here I'll likely replace some of my other variety with its pups (if I get any. ..no pups from any, all about 3 months ranging from 3 to 5ft high).

Getting back to Viente Cohol --- My mat has 4 pstems that should fruit this summer. Delicious little fruit. The pstem takes on a black coloring as it grows out. Twenty snails are great tasting ------- without the garlic oil!!!

If that corm died in three weeks, it wasn't the seller's fault. It isn't pretty, but it's not sickly, either. I don't think this one or the other one you found pics of came from the same seller Ty was talking about because Ty clearly stated they come bare and clean.(Which is also shown in his pics.)
See here where you quoted him:

They have other variegated varities also. 100% positive feedback and ship fast! (italics mine.)

I also can't help but wonder how on Earth you got a completed transaction including shipping and all on someone else's purchase... But I guess it doesn't say anywhere whose purchase it is, just what it is and the amount, not who purchased it, not even when. I tried searching the item number but it didn't find it.
It's all just a bit confusing.

Varieties I supposedly bought: Manzano, Cavendish, Blue Java, Sweetheart, and Gros Michel.
What it seems I actually have: Brazilian, Cavendish, Namwah, Dwarf Red, Gros Michel, Pisang Ceylon, Veinte Cohol and SH 3640, and American Goldfinger. FHIA 1, Paggi and FHIA 17... Always room for one more.
