For TC plants i would ONLY buy from Going Bananas in South FL or from Larry here on bananas.org. His username on here is “sddarkman619”. Not sure he has Mysore.

I have Mysore, Pisang Ceylon (from Going Bananas), and also Misi Luki. It will be a little while until I have pups (maybe late March) they are breaking the surface now! Just pm me later on if you don’t find one by then. I would even consider a trade for a hua moa pup. I could use another.

Update:Hua Mua now nearly 2 months from initial flowering.

Are these ready to cut down yet?

This is the 2nd nana plant and what appears to be another Hua Mua.

I haven’t filled Hua Moa myself yet but I say let them go a little longer. But WOW they have filled so fast! How much potassium are you feeding? Great job man! They look amazing! Not much further to go!

I feed each of my full size nanas about 1 cup of Fruit Fuel fertilizer (16-8-24) mixed in a 5 gallon bucket full of water poured around the base once a month.

Each of my Hua Mua have a large 3ft pseudo stem length pup. I'm letting a couple more pups grow. Looking forward to a Pisang Ceylon trade with you in the near future.

What's a good length for removing and shipping a pup?

Update 3-21-18

Been a little over 2 months since this bunch started. They're looking pretty plump.

Are they ready to cut down yet, if not how much longer?

Here's the other bunch.

Awesome job! They look pretty close to me. I’ve never harvested any so I can’t say for sure! You could just cut or pull off one or 2 and try them. Then go from there.

Just PM me sometime on the pup. I should have some ready in a week or 2. All my Mysore pups are growing great!

Joy Re: First budding of my nanas

Well, after almost a year since this nana was first planted the moment has arrived.

The bunch was cut down and weighed in at 17 lbs with about 3 dozen nanas in total.

They were absolutely delicious.

Thanks to the members of this forum and their invaluable help with raising my bananas.

Question. Now that my main nana plant has fruited and been harvested, how far should I cut down the spent pstem? As of now I have it cut down to about 3 ft above ground.

I’ve read a study where leaving a 2’-3’ stump actually helped feed the new pups and mat. So that is what I’m doing now.

You can cut it however you want it really. A 3’ rotting stump doesn’t look the best haha.

I heard the same somewhere too, that's why I cut it down to that height. Just wanted some affirmation.

Eventually when it does rot to be enough of an eyesore, i'll cut it down completely.

Thx

These were not started from pups but from a mail-order plant. I'd say about 9 months after planting it it flowered.

Now I have pretty large pups from these plants and they may not have too much longer to go before flowering.
