Here at the end of summer, a left for dead Orinoco pstem puts out a new leaf.
![]() The p-stem was trimmed in April and showed no growth until the first week in September. Talk about stalling!

Any idea why this happens? I have a few plant that were sending out new leaves every few days then stalled out and have not shown any new growth for several weeks. Other plants in the same growing conditions have not done this and continue to grow fine. Please help with any ideas.

I rec'd a dwarf red that had been cut down to about 4" of the root, I planted it waited for over 6 weeks, no new growth, dug it up started peeling away the dead part of the psuedostem & low and behold it had new growth starting, replanted & within 3 days I had a huge leaf emerging, glad I didn't chunk it.
