Thanks guys. I'm hoping to have a Banana Split around August/September, maybe sooner if I'm lucky!

Well Jon(Pitangadiego) was very close with his prediction of Oct 15th for the first hand to be picked. Still nothing yellow yet but I think if I was to cut a hand it would ripen just fine. Here is what they look like today, well actually this picture is of the second bunch that grew. The first bunch is not as plump as this one that showed up about 2 weeks after the first, but they are close too!

Oh yummy !!!

I let most of my nanas go this year.
I kept yellow and red flowering ornamentals Just yanked them out and stuck them in a container. THey will be in a N.W. facing window to try and survive.
I let a lot of things go in preparation of relocating to the Foothills of S.E. TN next Spring . If I live thru sorting all my accumulation of 23 years on this ol farm.
Moving up at least 2 zones I believe the TN Valley has a warmer micro climate that the Ag map show for all surrounding terrain including the mountains.

Plants can be replaced but first comes care for family and critters .

Wish I could taste one of those nanas ........... ENJOY
