Default FHIA-21 Plantain & SH-3640 'Nana Flowering!

*****I got The FHIA-21 Plantain and The SH-3640 "High Noon" 'Nana flowering!*****

For both plants is the second generation (crop)....Took them approx. 1 year for flowering!....On the second generation (crop), both plants are taller, stronger and thicker than the first generation (crop)....FHIA-21 Plantain is approx. 12 ft. tall.....SH-3640 "High Noon" 'Nana is approx. 10 ft. tall.....As a reference, the background wooden fence is 7 ft. tall......

Pictures taken on May 16, 2017.....

FHIA-21 Plantain.....I have it tightened with a nice thick cord to the wooden fence because of the winds!....Don't want to loose her!....I might prop her too!...A big plantain bunch is coming!......

SH-3640 "High Noon" 'Nana......A very strong and stout 'nana plant!...One of my favorites!.....

Thanks for seeing the thread!.....

I hope for your sake as well as all of us there won't be any hurricanes this year but plenty of rain. Looking good. Thick, stout plants.
Could you back up and get the whole plant, please?

Varieties I supposedly bought: Manzano, Cavendish, Blue Java, Sweetheart, and Gros Michel.
What it seems I actually have: Brazilian, Cavendish, Namwah, Dwarf Red, Gros Michel, Pisang Ceylon, Veinte Cohol and SH 3640, and American Goldfinger. FHIA 1, Paggi and FHIA 17... Always room for one more.

*****A couple of more pictures of the flowering SH-3640 "High Noon" 'Nana!*****

The two (2) SH-3640's up front are approx. 8 ft. tall right now!....You can see by the pictures that the flowering SH-3640 (the right one) is taller than the other two SH-3640's, in which they still growing, putting out more leaves......I tried my best with the pictures!.....LOL....

*****An Update of FHIA-21 Plantain & SH-3640 High Noon 'Nana!*****

FHIA-21 Plantain flower positioned down parallel to the plant!.....Vey long flower bud!.....

Picture from May 19, 2017....

As I mentioned, I just propped The FHIA-21 Plantain because of the winds!...I don't want to loose her!.. If you are growing The FHIA-21 Plantain and leave in an area with high winds, be ready to support this plantain monster!....

Picture from May 19, 2017.....

Also, I cut the "flap", the outside flower cover.....FHIA-21 Plantain fingers gets bruises really easy!.....

Picture from May 19, 2017.....

As you can see in the picture, FHIA-21 Plantain flower started to swollen!....It's normal!....Big, huge flower it should be opening soon!....

Picture from May 20, 2017.....

SH-3640 High Noon 'Nana still pushing out the flower!....Pictures don't do justice, but look at the size of the flower!.....

Picture from May 20, 2017.....

*****Also, an update of TARS FHIA-1 "real deal" Goldfinger & FHIA-17 "Kabana!"*****

All pictures from May 20, 2017....

TARS FHIA-1 "real deal" Goldfinger keeps growing fast!....Getting tall now!...

Beautiful plants Hector. Looking forward to the taste report on the Super Plantain. It looks like you put Orange peels around the base of the FHIA 1 plant. Does this keep away pests?
