fertilizing for great bananas
I'm new here so I'm trying to find a thread for fertilizing bananas. I should have lots this year and I want fertilizer that will help produce the best bananas I can grow in Georgia. Mine have always been small but very nice and sweet.

First of all: Welcome to bananas.org.
We have a great search engine incorporated in this website and a lot of great posts will come up if you search for fertilizer. The Wiki section also has a column dedicated just for fertilizer. I personally use Fruit Fuel (N-P-K ratio 16-8-24) which is ideal for banana plants. |

Thanks for the reply. I just ordered " Stokes Tropicals Banana Fertilizer" .. is that okay? My vagarieted lemon trees in a barrel have always looked great but I've never had lemons.

Dang, I should have waited to order the fertilizer until I chatted with you guys. I have tons of bananas and I have a lot to learn. I'm in the middle Georgia area and I don't know anyone growing bananas in this area. Out of 5 years, I've only had banana's twice. I want to learn from you guys who have the experience I need. I have several varieties I bought in south Georgia.
