Default Fertilizer rates

Can anyone suggest how many pounds of fertilizer per mat should be applied each feeding?

I am using jacks 15-5-15 water soluble with micro nutrient fertilizer.

If I have 20 mats, what would be an appropriate amount of fertilizer to inject into the irrigation. I'm thinking 4lbs but maybe they can take even more?

Someone on YouTube said that you should do one scoop (probably the size of a regular sized can) per stem per month. He was using poultry manure. Then he put a handful of dolamite (spelled wrong no doubt) in the winter.

Check out the forum wiki for

Info:Fertilizer

This is per pstem, so plan your mat accordingly. I don't add extra for pups under 3 ft tall in the mat.

One pound per mat every week or two. Some varieties will not care if you "over-fertilize". Some will grow too fast and leaves will get tangled as they emerge. Start slow and work your way up until you understand each varieties characteristics.

Thank you!

So much fertilizer!

May I ask what fertilizer ratio you feed that heavily with? Ive been way under feeding my bananas.

Going to start using 4 or 5lbs (between all mats) of the 15-5-15 each week. I have them all on a shared irrigation with a venturi fertilizer injector to pull liquid fert into the irrigation with.

Unfortunately its a bit of work to go out and do it, normally uts on a timer and I dont do anything.
