I have one in my garden and all of a sudden it is not doing so well. Yesterday I checked and it had fallen over. I have it staked now. Probably as big as yours. I have a Gros Michael fairly close by and it is doing great. I cannot see any insect damage, and all the soil is the same.

How are the roots? Nemetodes maybe? Try building up around the plant with loose organic soil with sand.

I did stake it up, put some more soil around the roots. It is now doing much better. A couple of new leavs have come up and it seems pretty sturdy.
