Default Ever Tried Banana Nectar?

I was attempting to cross-pollinate a couple of bananas, and got a taste of some musa basjoo nectar. It is really tasty! I found myself licking my fingers after I was done! I know some use the flowers in a salad, and now I know why.

I've read that hummingbirds love nanner flowers. I'm considering banana nectar wine if I have enough flowering! Hey - JoeReal may know something of that!

Be well,
Mike

I tasted the nectar from my Apples and it was very sweet! I get lots of hummingbirds feeding from the flowers which is a large part of the reason I decided to leave the flower buds hanging instead of cutting them in favor of larger fruit.

I've noticed Hummingbirds, Bees, Wasps, and Ants, enjoying the Orinoco nectar here. This year I'm going to sample some as well!
