Ensete Ventricosum overwintering.....

Apologies if this has been asked before.
I'm putting a big seed sown Ensete to bed for the Winter soon. Its going into my roof loft wrapped and dry. It has a very big root ball. Do I trim back some of those roots or do I leave them on ?seems a shame to cut off a good healthy root system. Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can cut them off or leave them on, either way. The roots won't survive through the winter anyway as they will just dry up, so you can do whatever is easiest for you.
