Ensete Ventricosum Flower
[/IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]Ensete ventricosum Flower
Banana Gallery - IMG_1496 These are pictures from last year of my ensete ventricousm that is going to bloom this year will try to post pictures of its progress as the flower gets to the bloom here are a few pics of it .yesterday Banana Gallery - ENSETE VENTRICOSUM FLOWER This the first banana plant that I have grown and of course now I am hooked on them. It is hard to grow them this large in Canada with all the winter headaches of where to put it. It has been an amazing plant. I hope the flower is over before frost I am not sure how long that takes to happen.

Re: Ensete Ventricosum Flower
[/IMG]I have kept in a greenhouse the last 2 years , but last year I had to move it at Christmas because the greenhouse went bankrupt so I moved it to another greenhouse which it was to big for and it stayed in the potting area with only lights no sun it didn't like that to much and I think that shocked it into blooming this year. If you go through Burford stop in.Banana Gallery - FINALLY IN NEW SPOT FOR WINTER

Re: Ensete Ventricosum Flower
A roll of 12 foot (wide) frost cloth isn't going very far on a beast like that.. :^)

Re: Ensete Ventricosum Flower
Thats Great! Its such an impressive looking plant. Makes you look like your in the land of the giants.
TV shows had better theme music back then. Perhaps you could play this music in your yard for effect. |
