Did any of you EVER got seed of Ensete perrieri to germinate?
I've heared several people's attempts and did some attemts myself, but all without any result... I'm curious about how it looks and grows.... And the same question goes for Ensete sp. (Kluay Pa/Thailand) from RPS...anyone? Last edited by griphuz : 09-29-2006 at 02:55 PM. Reason: forgot something |

I've heard of one person sprouting the E.perrieri, but it was a seed dealer so he probally had alot of seeds to attempt with.
This spring two of my Klauy pa's sprouted, and one survived. It took about a year to get them to germinate. There seems to be two different superbums from Thailand, and one from India(judging by the big differences in seed sizes). The klauy pa's have the smallest. I still have my E.perrieri seeds, and won't give up on them for another year or so. |

16 months and counting, still no germination. That goes for Kluay Pa also.
