Question Edible Banana Flowers

Question: What varieties are best for harvesting and eating the male banana flower bell?
If someone has already done this question please hit me.
I can find little information in this area, except a few comments that some are better than others, and one comment that some of the flower bells have too much oxalic acid in them, and one comment from Asia that eating too much of it can cause bloating and discomfort.
Are there any personal experiences to document?

I have heard Namwah and Misi Luki, but my Cambodian neighbors seem to eat them all.

Patty, the female flowers are the ones on the end of the actual fingers(fruits). The small slender ones that grow and fall off quickly are the males. There are threads here about this very subject with pics including mine if you want to search for them.
