Thanks Clare and capthof. After looking at that link and those pictures, I obviously don't have nam wah 'pearl', and maybe not even nam wah anything. Or maybe I could call it nam wah 'tennis ball yellow'. I haven't checked, but it probably glows in the dark.

I do love the light green coloring on it, Russell. It's the same color as some of my Michelia x alba leaves -- very pretty.

Here is a picture of my Dwarf Namwah as of 9/22/09.
I put the Siam and the Ae in for a little color.
It has been a month since the last time I uploaded a picture of this Dwarf Namwah, we'll see how long it takes to ripen.
The Ae is on a booster seat.

Capthof very nice. It should not be long now. Mine did not get much bigger just plumped up and turned yellow. My plant was not as big as yours when it fruited so that may make a differents. Congrats and happy eaten they are good. Let me know what you think in comparison to others you have tried. I want to see what I dont have that I should be hunting.

Thanks Clare.

I wonder if by "reverting back to green" they mean this odd lime green like mine or regular green.

Russell, not sure about that, but my Dwarf Namwah does seem to be a pretty blue/green. I like your lime green. I wonder if adding cheleted iron would make it a darker green if that's what you want to do. Who knows -- maybe someday it will revert back!

Thanks Clare.

Well, I don't dislike it, its just not what I expected. And really, I don't have any idea what it is. Lord knows, just because someone sells it on ebay doesn't mean it is what they say it is. So for now I just have a very slow growing, lime green dwarf mystery banana.

As for the color, that's just the way it is. Iron ain't gonna help this one. Look at the pic of my tall red, it is on the other side of that big brugmansia to the right just out of the shot. I planted the tall red and the brug as 3 gallon plants about 3 ft tall back in April, and moved the lime midget there about a week later.

Yeah, you're right that you never know what you're going to get on Ebay sometimes. It's a cool plant though so at least you got your money's worth hopefully.

Wow, that really is a lime green, Tony.

I was tempted by the 'Margarita' that I've seen on various sites, but I think it is a sport of 'Siam Ruby' and does not bear fruit so I passed, but I do like the color.

Thanks Tony, now I don't feel so alone!!

I'll be eager to see how your plant grows, it does seem to look a lot like mine. Did you see the link to the old thread Clare provided a few posts back? Kinda makes me wonder if there is a variegated dwarf namwah pearl and a regular dwarf namwah pearl. Most of the pictures there look like young yellow-green plants like yours. None of those plants look to be variegated like the big one pictured.

The pic is from the wiki , not my plant. I don't think there is a variegated d. pearl. From what I read there is d.namwah pearl and variegated namwah. I could be wrong.

I planted two Agri Starts TC DNW. The one that gets plenty of sun is growing rather large and should pop some bananas pretty soon. It has produced quite a few pups but I cut them off improperly and don't think they will survive. The one in the more shaded area is growing much more slowly.

Like Cheryl I planted two earlier this year.
My second one is starting to flag, which I believe is the correct vernacular.
Anyway the bud is starting to show, pictures to follow.
