Default Dwarf Cavendish Brown Spots

I planted a dwarf cavendish banana tree 4 weeks ago. When I first got the tree, it looked fine. But over the past 4 weeks, we got 8 to 10 inches of rain. We normally don't get that much, but it's been unusually rainy. I'm in zone 10a. Now I'm seeing brown spots on 2 of the leaves and the new leaf sprouting from the middle has brown edges. Is the browning from too much rain or something else? I'm new to growing banana trees so I'm trying to figure out why this is happening.

As older leaves senesce( end of life)they lose water repellency and the process is sped up by molds and whatever sticks to them causing decay.

Factors that cause this are transplant shock, overwater, fertilization or poor preparation of the hole in which it was planted, root rot, or just old age.

Since the symptoms are on the new leaves also my guess rootrot from the excessive rain you had.

Hopefully, the new replacement leaves will sort the plant out in its new home.

The spots are normal for older leaves, esp. in winter. The new leaf is telling you have you have had weather issues and/or stress such as cold wet weather. If the next leaf is normal, then issue resolved.
