Dwarf cav question...
One of my dwarf cav pups is pushing out 2 leaves at the same time is that a problem or should I just not be concerned?

Re: Dwarf cav question...
I dont think its anything to worry about. If it grows and flowers that might look something like a mohoi same stem but two shoots with two flowers ! . neat plant . good luck =]

Re: Dwarf cav question...
As long as the leaves produce normally and don't block future leaf development, it should be fine. Great looking plant, I have 2 Cavendishes myself! Good luck!

Re: Dwarf cav question...
Your plant seems healthy from the picture. I don't think it looks like BTBV. Watch the videos Dr. Scot Nelson put up from his DVD and that will give you more details about diagnosing such infestation. I think you're good...just looks like some sort of random mutation to me. I'm very interested to see how this turns out!

Re: Dwarf cav question...
The growth of the main pseudostem is changing direction due to damage above the growth point. The new growth will pop out from the bulge, not from the top as usual. It may have been cold damaged.
Good growing! |

Re: Dwarf cav question...
That is definitely flowering but don't expect it to be able to produce much of anything, if at all.
