Default Dwarf Apple

Don't know what a 'dwarf apple' banana really is, but it is blooming now. The p-stem is barely 5 ft. Has three pups.

Thank you for sharing. How tall is it, if you don't mind me asking.

Thank you. I am trying to figure out sizes when they say dwarf. I had banana plants growing for a while but I never really tries to learn anything about them till last yr. Now that I have more varieties, I decided to learn more. I have being noticing the word "dwarf" mention on somen varieties but the heights vary. For example dwarf Brazilian, how tall is that one? Sorry for asking so many questions, its just that I have more questions.

It really all varies. Dwarf Cavendish is six feet tall. Dwarf Brazilian can be up to 8 feet tall. Generally dwarf is anything ten feet and shorter, I think.

Thanx for looking at the pics!

Backyard Banana Joe - I had a 'dwarf' red that was pretty good sized. I have no idea what a non-dwarf would have been like. Mine was one of those sports that reverted back to a mostly green look. It had tough leathery leaves, and would hold up to wind when most others would have been shredded.
