Default Ducasse wins the banana cup

Real interesting competition

Ducasse wins historic Banana Cup and consumer taste buds - ABC Rural (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Consumers are more likely to buy Cavendish bananas because as the main variety grown in Australia they dominate the supermarket shelves, and are also cheaper.

But another variety has caught the attention of consumers in northern New South Wales.

Of the three varieties handed out at the Coffs Harbour Agricultural Show it was the Ducasse that won over the taste buds.

The heaviest bunch award went to a 52kg bunch, I would be ecstatic to have a bunch that big. I am happy at 50lbs.
