Depends on your objective but if you are going for a flower I would remove all pups as they will pull energy away from the Mother plant which with only a couple leaves she will need. Pot up a replacement plant for next year.

Yes, I'm hoping for a flower, have already taken 4 pups off and have 3 more coming on so will remove them also. I have other D. Cavendish plants so have them to fall back on if Mother blooms. Thanks for replying.

Going to dig the Dwarf Cavendish up tomorrow and take the pups off. After two years waiting, it never flowered, chose to put off pups instead. Have cut it down as far as it can go without seeing any Mother growth other than pups. [IMG][/IMG]

I think I'm seeing a flag leaf on one of my Basjoo plants. Do you think it is a flag?[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

I tried to move the leaf that I thought might be a'flag' on the Basjoo (it was coming out twisted) and it tore so finished tearing it off...then another something is taking it's place....it is a funny looking albino looking leaf or something....don't think it is a bloom, guess time will tell.[IMG]

Don't know what is going on here, but the new leaf (?) is very pale and spindly....thinking it may be stuck. All new leaves have been nice green cigar leaves on the Basjoos. I've tried to help it along a little thinking it is stuck.

I cut the puny looking leaf (I cut it open and it was a leaf) off cause there is another leaf coming next....kind of twisted again but am going to leave it alone to see what happens next. Anybody have this kind of thing happen with their plants?
